Rotate PDF Online Free

Rotate PDF lets you rotate a PDF online free, right in your browser — turn a sideways or upside-down document the right way up, then download it. Rotate every page at once with the left and right buttons, or switch on individual mode to rotate specific pages on their own. There is no sign up, and nothing is uploaded: the file is rotated entirely on your own device.

Add your PDF above, then use the rotate-left and rotate-right buttons to turn the whole document. To fix only some pages, switch on "Rotate pages individually" and turn each page on its own. Download the corrected copy when it looks right.

How It Works

Rotating a PDF runs entirely in your browser tab, so nothing is sent to a server. It takes three short steps:

  1. Open capsuletools.app/rotate-pdf/ and choose your PDF
  2. Rotate the document — tap rotate left or rotate right to turn every page 90° at a time, watching the preview update
  3. Or switch on Rotate pages individually to turn single pages on their own
  4. Tap Download to save the re-oriented copy ([filename]-rotated.pdf)

The rotation is written into the PDF's page orientation, so the saved file opens the right way up in every PDF reader — your original file is left untouched.

Rotate All Pages at Once

By default, the rotate buttons turn the whole document together. Tap Rotate right to spin every page 90° clockwise, or Rotate left for 90° counter-clockwise — tap twice to flip an upside-down PDF a full 180°. This is the fast way to rotate all pages in a PDF online free when the entire file was scanned or saved sideways. The preview shows page one so you can confirm the orientation before you download.

Rotate Individual Pages

Sometimes only a page or two is the wrong way round — a single landscape table in a portrait report, or one page a scanner flipped. Switch on Rotate pages individually to see a thumbnail of every page, each with its own rotate controls. Tap a thumbnail to turn it right, or use the arrows under it to turn it either way. This lets you rotate specific pages in a PDF online and leave every other page exactly as it was.

Your PDF Never Leaves Your Device

Rotate PDF works 100% in your browser. Your document is opened, previewed, and rotated on your own device — it is never uploaded to a server, so there is nothing to delete afterwards and no account to create. Rotating only rewrites each page's orientation metadata, which means the text stays selectable and the fonts, images, and layout are completely untouched. You get the same document, just turned the right way up.

Works on iPhone, Mac, Windows, and Android

Because it is a web page, Rotate PDF works on any device with a modern browser. On iPhone or iPad, open it in Safari and pick the file from Files or iCloud. On a Mac, open it in Safari or Chrome and choose the PDF from Finder — a free alternative to Preview or Acrobat. On Windows 11, use Edge, Chrome, or Firefox. It works the same way on Android. There is no app to install and no account to create, and you can add it to your home screen to use it offline after the first visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I rotate a PDF and save it permanently?

Rotate the whole document or individual pages with the rotate-left and rotate-right buttons, then tap Download. The new orientation is written into the PDF's page metadata, so it stays rotated in every PDF reader — not just temporarily in your current viewer. The downloaded file keeps the rotation for good.

How do I rotate a PDF for free without signing up?

Open this page and choose your PDF — there is no account, sign up, or email required. Rotate it left or right, or turn pages individually, then download the corrected copy. Everything runs in your browser, so it is free with nothing to register for.

Can I rotate just one page in a PDF without rotating the whole document?

Yes. Turn on "Rotate pages individually" to see a thumbnail of every page, each with its own rotate controls. Rotate only the pages that are sideways or upside-down and leave the rest as they are, then download. It is the easy way to rotate specific pages in a PDF online.

How do I rotate a PDF on iPhone?

Open this tool in Safari or Chrome on your iPhone, pick the PDF from Files or iCloud, rotate it left or right, and download it straight to your device. There is no app to install and it is free. It works the same way on an iPad or an Android phone.

How do I rotate a PDF on a Mac?

Open this page in Safari or Chrome on your Mac and choose the PDF from Finder. Rotate the whole file or single pages and download the corrected copy — a quick, free alternative to Preview or Acrobat for rotating a PDF, with nothing to install.

How do I rotate a PDF on Windows 11?

Open this page in Edge, Chrome, or Firefox on Windows 11, choose your PDF, rotate it, and download. It runs entirely in the browser, so there is no software to install and no account to create — a free way to rotate a PDF on Windows.

Does rotating a PDF damage the text or fonts?

No. Rotating only changes each page's orientation setting — the text stays selectable and the fonts, images, and layout are untouched. You get the same document, just turned the right way up, with no loss in quality.

Why does my PDF look sideways when I open it?

A PDF can be saved with the wrong page orientation — often from a scanner or a phone scan that captured the page rotated. Rotating it 90° (or 180° if it is upside-down) the right way and saving the file fixes it, so it opens upright in every app.
