Your files and input
Every tool runs in your browser. Nothing you enter, upload or generate is sent to our servers, because we don't run any that receive it. Some tools download code libraries when you open them; that fetches software to your device and uploads nothing of yours. The one exception is the contact form, described below.
No accounts
Capsule Tools requires no registration and asks for no email address. We keep no user accounts or user data.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to collect usage data — page views, which tools are used, and basic session information such as country and device type. It does not identify you personally and we don't link it to any account. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Google Analytics sets cookies only if you agree in the consent message; until then it sends only limited measurements without cookies. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's privacy policy.
Advertising
Tool pages show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, including ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites, to measure them and to prevent fraud. For this they receive information such as the page you are on, your IP address, your device and browser, and cookie identifiers. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of some other ad companies at aboutads.info. How Google uses this information is explained in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your choices
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Google's consent message asks for your choice before ads are personalised or analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with Privacy and cookie settings, a link that also appears at the bottom of tool pages. Everywhere else, you can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings or block cookies in your browser. In some US states, showing personalised ads can count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information under state law. If you are in one of those states, use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link at the bottom of the page to opt out; Google also honours your browser's Global Privacy Control signal.
On-device storage
Some tools save data locally on your device (in your browser's storage) purely for your own convenience — for example, the game player caches your last game and your progress so you can pick up where you left off. This stays on your device, is never uploaded, and can be cleared from within the tool (or by clearing your browser's site data).
Contact form
If you use the contact form on the About page, the message you type, and the email address if you choose to give one, is sent to our server, which emails it to us. We use it only to read and answer your message and keep no copy on the site. To block spam the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which loads only when you start using the form and runs a short check in your browser; see Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy policy.

Some tools may show recommended products with links to Amazon. If you buy through one of them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Products are chosen because they are relevant to the task, not because of who pays more. Once you reach Amazon, its own cookies and privacy policy apply.
Tips
The tip link on the About page goes to Buy Me a Coffee. Tips are optional and handled entirely by them; we never see your payment details.
Cookies
On this site, cookies come from Google Analytics and from Google's advertising services (Google AdSense and its partners). In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, a cookie also stores your consent choice. The contact form's spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile) runs only if you use the form. Amazon and Buy Me a Coffee set their own cookies on their own sites, after you leave ours.
Data sharing
We don't sell your data for money. These companies receive data from your browser when you use the site: Google — for analytics, the pages you view, your device and browser, your approximate location from your IP address and a cookie identifier, to measure how the site is used; for ads, the page, your IP address, device details and cookie identifiers, shared with its ad partners, to choose, show and measure ads and prevent fraud. Cloudflare — your IP address and request details, to host the site, deliver its pages and block abuse, and, if you use the contact form, to run its spam check and deliver your message. Amazon and Buy Me a Coffee — only if you click through to them.
Acceptable use
Our tools process files and content that you provide. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any file you open with them. In particular, our emulators and media players do not provide, host, or link to any games or content — you supply your own files, and should use only games or content you legally own or that are free to use, such as homebrew or public-domain titles.
